Articulate Presenter .ppta Files in Sharepoint

Jan 29, 2018

I know that you are supposed to save to your local drive, but has anyone had luck working from SharePoint?  It seems that the PPTA file does not like to play nice in SharePoint.  I can open the PowerPoint from SharePoint, but that is pretty much it.  I cannot use anything in the Articulate Ribbon.

I wanted to create some type of process flow using Microsoft Flow, but that doesn't seem to be an option either (i.e., creating a process the copies my local file to SharePoint backup).  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Andy Marsula

Hi Andy,

I most often hear folks using Sharepoint as the hosting option for the published output, not as a place to store the files while they're working on them. Either way, we do always recommend creating a Presenter package if you need to back up your files to another server or network, and following these other guidelines to prevent odd behavior that could lead to corruption.

For other ideas I'll leave that to the community, as I've never used Sharepoint myself either. 😀
