Articulate seems to disable Iinternet Explorer (6)
Oct 14, 2011
For the very first time I have created and uploaded an Articulate Presentation to our College VLE (Moodle).
The module includes Articulate Engage and Articulate Quizmaker and was uploaded as an LMS package.
After spending hours, no days, on creating the module I hoped the trial today would go well. Except it didn't - half of my colleagues could enter the quiz and half couldn't. Our technical guys tell me the Flash is "knocking out Internet Explorer" (currently version 6) and there is nothing they can do.
I need some help or advice as if I cannot get my Articulate module to run everywhere all my work is useless and absolutely no good to anyone.
Please help!!

Hi Keith, shouldnt be a problem can they update flash on the IE6 machines, what version of MOodle are you using? IE6 will not work properly with 2.0+
Thankyou Phil. We are using Moodle 1.9 and IE6. We have tried updating Flash and the strange thing is that some machines will work and other won't, on exactly the same version of Flash.
1.9 and ie6 should work fine, 50% of our users use IE6 and we never get problems, if we do a flash upgrade fixes them,
Hmm. Looks like a dead end then - not sure where to go from here....?
Hi Keith and welcome to Heroes!
Can you tell me exactly what happens when a person tries to enter a quiz? What specifically do you mean by "Flash is knocking out Internet Explorer"? Please include any error messages.
Also, if anyone is experiencing LMS issues, I would point them to this helpful article: http://www.articulate.com/blog/9-ways-to-troubleshoot-articulate-lms-issues/
Thanks!
