When opening attachments I am getting the following script which requires me to allow:
Internet Explorer restricted this web page from running scripts or active x controls. I get this from my desktop or from the CD. What can I do to insure that learners will not have this problem?
I'd also recommend taking a look at this really helpful article. It lists some common reasons for attachments not working in Presenter, including being sure to test your content in the format it was published for...
I published my output from Storyline for "WEB". I added three triggers to download a zip, rar and an flv file. After uploading the published content to a website and then viewing it on IE 8, none of the three links appear to be working. No downloads, no pop blocked and no dialog notifications.
Please advise if there some way to fix this. Thank you!
Just saw your other post over here. We'd be happy to take a closer look at your course. Can you please go ahead and open a ticket, including the .story file, so we can take a closer look at what's going on?
Apologies for posting this at two places. Desperately needed help.
I am open to submit a ticket and send you the story file but the issue is that the links to download these files are relative and not absolute. So, I don't think giving you the story file would help you in testing the links. Do you still think it'd be a good idea for me to open a ticket and send you guys the story file. Please advise.
I wanted to make sure we got this right, so I consulted some superior knowledge to help answer this. From Justin G.:
"Relative links would work in combination with the jump to file trigger if they are (1) uploading the files to their web server independently from Storyline and (2) using the correct path, relative to the location of the story.html file.
I can't think of a situation where using the Jump to file trigger with a relative path would cause the file to be published in one of our output subfolders.
I have submitted a case along with the story file. Thanks for the extra information about the relative links. It is what we are doing as well so I'm glad to know there are no inconsistencies there. We upload the Storyline output as well as the files to be downloaded to our server but at different locations.
And to also answer your question about if this is only happening on IE8, yes, these links worked fine on the latest builds of Chrome, Firefox and IE9.
Hope the support team can figure something out soon

Hi Charlotta,
Sounds like the configuration of your browser. Here is a Microsoft link that troubleshoots this same issue. Hope it helps with your problem.
If one of these items corrects your issue, simple instructions will need to be pushed out to your users.

Here are a couple of threads you could reference:

So yes, if the issue persists despite the paths looking correct, we'd be happy to take a look at the project

Thank you once again!
Thanks, Sij!
Looks like Gren is checking out your file now (00334897), and you should be hearing something soon
Thanks Peter! Had to attached the files to the Resource tab. Nothing else worked for IE 8 users.
