Audio Editor error message

Feb 11, 2013

I have an elearning created in Articulate Studio Pro which was published several months ago.  I now need to edit the text and audio to remove a reference which is no longer available.

I have reopened the project on my C:\ drive, but when I select Audio Editor I get a message stating 'Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application'.  I suspect it is because I have recently had a company wide upgrade to the network platform, but not sure.

Does anyone have any other tips on how to unpack the audio for this elearning to edit?  Otherwise I will just have to rerecord.

Thanks Tracy

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Tracy!

What type of upgrade did your company perform? Did you have a new version of Windows installed, or Office, etc.?

Can you please try uninstalling the Articulate software, and then following the steps here, ensuring that you have the latest version of Articulate software installed?

If the problem continues, please create a Presenter Package and send it to us in a support case. Also, please share the case number with me so I can update this thread and follow the case progress.

Thanks!

Hi Christine

I just spoke with a colleague and he does not think that there is anything in the upgrade that would affect it.  I will raise this as an internal ticket with IS support and will let you know how I get on.

I am not sure I will be able to reinstall according to your directions as we have a specific process for installing applications so again I will include your response in my IS ticket and see what they come back with.

Thank you so much for your quick response.  It is great knowing that if I have a problem there is a whole community including expert support staff within Articulate that I can reach out to.

thanks Tracy
