When I launch my Studio 13 presentation it displays across my entire screen which is fine, however when I select to view a pdf from resources the document is hidden behind my presentation. Can anyone assist with a solution for the document to open up ontop of my presentation for easy viewing?
Hi Robert! Is this a setting in a specific browser that you are utilizing perhaps? If you'd like us to take a look, you are welcome to share your Articulate Package for us to take a look.
Many thanks for your email and offer to assist. I was unable to send you my
package as my email client said it exceeded the allowable file size - the
file was 530MB. It is a training program spanning some 200 plus slides with
video and audio.
The program works fine, however this is what I am trying to achieve:
1. I would always like the program to open in full screen mode for the
end user
2. Also, when the end user selects the pdf file contained in Resources I
would like that pdf document to open up on top of the program for easy
viewing, currently it opens up behind the presentation and the end user may
not know it has opened unless he reduces the size of the presentation on the
screen to reveal the opened document.
Are you able to re-create the issue that the user is reporting? What browser are you utilizing? Have you tested in another browser? I do not see this behavior when I view a course in Chrome for instance. My pdf file shows up in a new tab and becomes the active window.
Thanks for your reply, I am using chrome as my browser but the program will
be distributed to various Health organisations for use by their employees so
I am unsure as to what browser they will use, I believe they will make
the program available to their employees via their organization`s Intranet
or Scorm compliant Learning Management system.
That aside, I am still lost as to why on my computer the document opens up
behind the presentation, so therefore I have to scale down the size of the
presentation to see the document. I just imagined that when I open the
document it would then become the active screen ...could it be a windows
setting? This has got me baffled
Hi Robert! I think this is something that your IT Team would need to assist you with as it is related to your browser and it's behavior. I know there were issues reported with Windows 7 and Chrome before as you can see here.
When I try to insert a small video into my powerpoint via the Articulate
insert video icon on the articulate ribbon I get the following message
Powepoint has stopped working
And then I get this small dialogue box - Status - Packing project file.
Pleae wait and it just stays there forever and ever and it only goes
away when I reboot but re- appears again when I try to insert a video
I would advise to be sure that you are working locally on both your software and project files and then repair your software. This should alleviate your issue.
