Branching and recording completion in the LMS

I just created a learning module and used branching where the learner chooses a path based on their department.  My intent is for them to only have to view what pertains to their role.  The slide where the branching occurs has two pictures which act as links to send them down the right path.

Unfortunately, it's not working the way I intended -- go figure.

Is there a setting I'm missing that communicates to the LMS that the learner completed the course when a "path" is complete even though the learner didn't view all slides?
