Cannot get audio to play on recorded presentations...

Mar 18, 2012

Hello -

I'm hoping someone out there may be able to help me with this issue.  I have a presentation that was recorded using Articulate, and now I have a .pptx file and a .ppta file.  When I go into the .ppta file and preview the slides, I can see the amount of time that each slide has for audio (0:39 or :08 or whatnot), and the audio status bar moves along as though the audio is playing.  However, I don't hear any sound.

I've also tried to publish the files and see if the sound will play that way, but with no luck.

Does someone have any tips for troubleshooting this?  I'd hate to have to re-record the whole project.

Thanks!

Bridget

Hi Bridget, welcome to Heroes!

Do you want to send us your files so we can take a closer look. We'd be happy to work with you to find a solution. Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09, which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so I can follow up with you personally in the forums. And feel free to come back and leave your case number here so I can keep a close eye on it. Thanks!
