Chinese Characters not displaying on SCORM 2004 Course

Hello - I've recently received an Articulate course (Studio 2009) from a colleague in Asia. When I view the course in PowerPoint I am able to see the Chinese characters.

However when I publish the course to SCORM 2004, 2nd edition, and open it in my browser (IE 10, Chrome) the Chinese characters no longer appear.

The peculiar thing is the Chinese characters are preserved in the left hand navigation, but not in the slide.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
