Do annotations 'stick' to slide number as opposed to slide?

Jun 15, 2011

A recent draft had annotations on let say slides 10, 15 and 20 - all correct and working where they should be.  Client asks us to add some content so away we go, insert some new slides etc and re-publish ... only to see that same annotations appear on the slide numbers instead of the slides.  i.e slides 10, 15 and 20 have been shuffled along because of new slides and have become maybe 12, 18 and 30 - but slides 10, 15 and 20 are still the ones that show the annotations.

I hope that makes sense?

Am i imagining this or is this how annotations can sometimes (always) work?  We rarely use this feature so don't have anything to compare with.

Thanks

Hi Simon.

I haven't personally ever seen this. Annotations should be tied to the slide you create them on. If you add or remove other slides, that shouldn't effect what slides the annotations are on. If you have reproducible steps for this, I would suggest you submit a case so we can take a closer look:
