Dynamic Text Not Working

Apr 07, 2011

Hello,

I am trying to solve this problem that recently came up in a course that I am designing.  I have a built Flash file that I am importing into PowerPoint and publishing using Articulate.  The SWF is an interactive game where the question appears on a phone in the form of a short text message.  The user is to reply with one of the three options given to him/her.  If they choose the incorrect answer, dynamic text is supposed to appear on the phone giving feedback and telling the user to try again.  The correct answer goes to a separate scene in the flash file with feedback and a button to the next question.

Previously, these all worked fine until recently I had to make a few changes (some of the dynamic text boxes were to small, so all of the text was not showing up and a few grammatical errors).  Now I have fixed those problems and published a new SWF file.  I have tested the SWF file and everything is working great... however, when I insert that flash swf into PowerPoint via Articulate and Preview (or Publish), none of the dynamic text is there in the text box.

I appreciate any thoughts / ideas / comments...  I am trying to find a way to work around this so I don't have to go and recreate a whole bunch on new scenes for each of the wrong answer feedbacks.

Thanks!!

Rodney

Hello again everyone!

Just thought I would post the solution to my problem, should anyone need it in the future!

So, affter working with a co-worker, we (well she did) figured out the reason.  When inserting the Flash movie file in via the Articulate ribbon, in the dialog box that pops up we had to change the "Synchronization" setting to "Movie Plays Independantly of Slide" and it fixed our problem!
