Engage interactions in '13

May 29, 2014

Hello,

I have 3 issues or questions about Engage interactions '13

#1) I converted a ppt from Articulate Presenter 09 to 13 and cannot find a way to realign text on the tabs of my tabbed interaction. The text is left aligned now and I would like them to be centered in the cliackable tabs as they were in the original 09 file. (see attached image)

#2) Also cannot find a way to reenable the seekbar or pause button on an Engage interaction. Is there no way to fast forward or pause an interaction now?  I would like my learner to be able to pause or seek within the interaction. The seekbar and pause button is in the player until we get to the interaction tabs - then it is no longer visable.

#3) And I have deselected the Resources tab in my player but it still appears in my published file...

Very Frustrated... I had one simple typo that needed fixing in my original Articulate Presenter 09 file and now after converting to 13, I have these other issues to now try to work around...

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hi Sandra!

In Engage '13:

Tab Titles are now left-aligned

The player has been unified in Studio '13, so there is not a different control for Engage '13 within Presenter '13 as there was before, but I think you may be  referring to these slide properties, which will also be a great place to check to make sure that the Resources aren't turned on at this slide level.

Hi Kayla,

Thank you for letting us know what's happening!  We've identified a problem where the seekbar and the play/pause button are not responsive when viewing the HTML5 output of an Engage interaction when it is a part of a Presenter course.  Are you using Studio '13 or Studio 360?

For now, the workaround is to publish with Flash, as the Flash output is working normally.

I'’ll let you know as soon as we have an update on this issue.  Thanks so much again for letting us know, and I'’m sorry if it’'s slowing you down.

Hi - I know this is an old thread but did this get resolved? I am wondering the same thing and was checking if any changes have happened in the last few years to restrict the Engage tabs from navigating to the Next tab/slide until audio completes? It is even more important since we can fall back to using Flash now that it is retired from browsers.
