Error message when previewing or publishing in ’09

Hi there,
When trying to preview or publish in Articulate Studio an error message pops up saying “this project cannot be opened. Please make sure it is not already open in another instance of the application and try again”
This message pops up for any project, not only the one I’m currently working on. I’ve tried closing everything, ending things in my task manager with windows and rebooting, but it’s still happening.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Are you working on your local hard drive? Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.
