File Size Got Huge

I have a 30 slide presentation, each with its own voice track and basic graphics. The Articulate file size was about 13,000.
I loaded a swf file into the presentation. It failed to run so I deleted it and tried another which did but I deleted it as well. (I deleted it by clicking on the image on the slide and hitting delete.)
Now the Articulate Project file size has ballooned to over 600,000 kb! Yeow! I tried doing a "save as" and still have the same file size.
Help!

Hi Gary,
I think your best bet would be to submit a case to our support team so they can review this more closely with you. Thanks!
It's on its way. Thanks for the help!
Any answers to this that can be posted for the rest of us? I, too, am struggling with appropriate PPT file sizes; I'd like to add some fun interactive elements to my modules, but the files get fairly bloated once you start adding extras.
Hi Erin!
Here's the response from our support team:
"Is this problem happening on a specific project only? If yes, then please make sure you are working on your local drive (this is typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior and project corruption. If this is the case, please create a new empty folder on your desktop and place a copy of your PowerPoint file (PPT or PPTX) and PPTA file inside. Open the project from this folder and test if this resolves the issue.
Also, to avoid unexpected behavior, please be sure the complete file path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters, which is the maximum length for Windows operating systems. Likewise, it is recommended that your file names abide by Windows naming conventions. The safest naming convention would include alphanumeric characters, hyphens (-), and underscores (_). Special characters are not recommended.
Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in this Microsoft article.
If your project is already saved on your local drive or the problem persists, you may need to recreate your project using the steps outlined here."
Hope that's helpful!
