have you published instead of preview? Preview often does some strange things.
Is your audio mono or stereo? Do you have any as3 in the swf
I have never used synch with slide but think this might only work with flv and not swf, although one workaround is to put the audio into articulate and insert a swf without sound that will definitely pause

The Flash movie is 640 x 480.
The frame rate is 24 fps, but changing it to 30 fps didn't change anything.
sorry just noticed your previewing, you need to publish to test it, if the problem continues come back

I set the movie to 30fps.
Imported and no change. audio echoes like it is two tracks and the seek bar runs for 5 seconds.
I am using Flash CS5

Does the swf play ok outside of articulate?
I publish to test.
I tried mono and stereo for audio.
I would add the audio in Articulate, but the timing is critical to match up with the Flash animation.
The swf file plays fine as stand-alone.
I'm stumped.

When creating the flash file set the audio properties as Raw and 44mhz.
