How can I tell the difference between a SWF and mp4

Feb 04, 2017

As you know, Presenter 360 has issues with flash files, so I'm in the process of replacing more than a thousand flash files with mp4's I paid some guy in Sri Lanka to convert for me.... anyway, when I'm looking at the Presenter 360 page, how do I know (besides a long drawn out process of previewing the page [takes over a minute to built a preview of 5 slides) that what I'm looking at is an SWF or an MP4?

I tried right_clicking on the image but it tells me it's SWF -- even if it's actually an MP4.  See attached images.  Thanks, Jim

It's an ongoing thing... I have over sixty presenter files to work with each containing scores of swf's, I need to constantly jump back and forth from file to file so I just want a quick visual check to see if it's an SWF or mp4.  Seems really basic and rudimentary, I figured I was missing something, I didn't think that articulate would leave that sort of functionality out, but it seems it actually was overlooked, or not put in there.

It takes close to 15 minutes to "publish" each file and I'm constantly jumping back and forth, so this is just a pain. Thanks to both of you for the reply.
