Hyperlinking - Studio 13
Oct 02, 2014
Hi guys,
We have just installed Studio 13 on our new non-Government networked Pc's.
I have a question regarding hyperlinks.
Many of our courses hyperlink to our internal intranet. We have copied over the links from our Government pc's and placed them in our courses on the new non-networked pc's. We are publishing to LMS and therefore our hyperlinks work for our users when using a Government networked pc to complete the course.
However, if the user accesses the course from home on their own pc the links to the Government Intranet page will not work. Could you please suggest a work around for the hyperlinks to the Intranet as we hyperlink so much of our content to SOP's and Policies and pages on the intranet website.
Many thanks
Jill

Hi Jill!
You mention that you are publishing this content to the LMS. Is that how the users are accessing the content? From the published environment?
How do users off of your network access your secure intranet page now, or can they?
Hi Leslie,
Thanks very much for your reply.
The users access the published output via our LMS which is hosted by an external vendor.
Our LMS has its on web address and can be logged onto via the internet at any time.
Our users cant access our Intranet page unless they are using a Government Pc.
Hi Jill!
If the links to files are hyperlinked to a intranet page - and your users need to access the links from a government PC - there is not a way to insure they can access that from home unless you have a different link to the material.
Perhaps this is something that you can work with your IT/Security team on.
Thanks so much Leslie.
Of course!
