Install on second Computer
Aug 16, 2011
HI,
I'm about to install Articulate software on a second computer (a Mac, whereas my previous one was a PC). I understand that we are allowed to install 09 on two computers under certain conditions, and i believe my situation covers it (the machines will not be used simultaneously, I am the only user, using one - actually both -- for educational purposes). I would like to install Articulate Studio first on the Mac before uninstalling from the PC, to make sure that everything works OK on the Mac. Am I correct in assuming this does not violate licensing? And do I need to contact Support to let them know what I am doing?
Thanks in advance

Hi Joseph,
The Articulate End-User License Agreement entitles a single user to use Articulate software on a maximum of two computers, such as a home and work computer, or a desktop and laptop computer. By default, your serial number allows for 2 installations. Thus, if you have any problems activating the software, just submit a support case to us:

It's an old topic, but I ran into it when installing Articulate on a VMWare for testing purposes. When I deactivate the license on the VM is it free again?
Also, Do I need to deactivate a license or may I also deinstall the software without deactivating?
Hi there Sjoerd!
You can deactivate your Articulate license from any computer, using the following instructions:
Once you deactivate the license, you should be able to use it again with a new installation, or on a new machine. If, however, you run into any trouble activating another version of the software or deactivating the license, feel free to contact our support team. We'd be happy to take a look and get it set up for you.
Thanks and have a great day!
