interaction/quiz are not displaying
Dec 20, 2012
We are using Articulate Studio 09 and Powerpoint 2002. All files are being worked on from shared network drives all files (Engage, Quizmaker, PPT) are all in the same folder on shared network drives (team of 20+ developers).
The developer who is creating the learning adds the interaction/quiz to Powerpoint without any issues however when other developers are trying to preview the slides through Powepoint or update the slides the interaction/quiz are not displaying. This also happens when trying to publish through articualte for use on our lms.
What we are doing as a workaround for this is to :
1. Go to the slide that contains quiz/interaction and delete the slide
2. Republish quiz/interaction to the presentation
3. Republish presentation for lms delivery.
This is somewhat time consuming and adding a whole lot of extra steps to QA process.
Even with the checkbox selected under Presentation Options for Update Quizmaker quizzes and Engage interactions before publishing is selected this does not update (and at times completely removes all ‘links’ to the interactions).
We have tried numerous suggestions as mentioned through other discussions but non solve this issue.

Hi Lisa. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
The first thing I noticed in your post is that you're working off of a network drive. It's strongly recommended that you try to avoid this. When you're finished working with the files, it's fine to store them on the network drive, but any publishing or editing of the files needs to be done on your hard drive.

If you are experiencing unexpected issues using Articulate software, here are some tips for managing your files which can help prevent issues.
1. Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
3. Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.

The second issue is working with interactions and quizzes. Make sure that you're not testing the content locally. Since you're publishing for your LMS, upload the content to the LMS to test the content.
