Make Presenter TAB link to a slide?

Nov 15, 2011

Hi there

This is my first post, but I must say thanks to all those who do, as I've searched through your wisdom many times.

Here's my trouble: I've made a captivate movie on how to navigate a module. When I insert the movie into a quizmaker blank slide and make it a player tab, it will only play once. If you go back and try to play it again the slide is empty. It also has two close buttons (because I don't want a submit or continue button on it I changed the text label to close).

Another option I'd use is to put the instructions in a hidden slide right at the beginning with a Skip Instructions button. What would be perfect is to be able to make that Instruction button in the player tabs, link directly to the first slide because don't want a link to the instructions in the Outline tab. I'd like to maintain the Outline as a course outline rather than an all inclusive menu. Any suggestions?

Here's a link to a test file in case what I've said makes no sense what-so-ever. (this is entirely possible!)

Thanks a bunch,

Mary-Lynne

Thanks for replying!  I did try Engage.  I've updated my test file with two versions done with Engage. All three of the possible ways of doing this, have elements I'm not happy with.

If you have the answers to a few questions,  it will help me decide which way to go. Can I make the Media Tour close as soon as the movie is over? Is there also a way to make the whole module open on-load with Engage tab?

Thanks for any help,

Mary-Lynne
