when exiting a powerpoint (Studio 360) I got a malware warning that blocked whatever pptal.exe is in Studio. when it quarantined this file -- what now?
We're seeing the same alert on our end and have reported the problem to VirusTotal as a false positive. We'll circle back as soon as we hear know more.
What I did was I uninstalled articulate but before I reinstalled it I made sure that I had the directories allowed to Malwarebytes it seems to have worked. I think. I hope let me know how you do
VirusTotal corrected the issue and added our file to their safe list.

In the meantime, you can restore the file from quarantine and add that folder to Malwarebytes' Allow List. Here's a quick recording of those steps!

Same with Malwarebytes Premium 4.2.3. Added exception for file, and folder, but have to Restore from quarantine each time.
Have not tried reinstalling
Hi Chris,
Thanks for chiming in as well! To confirm, did you use the option under Allow List to Allow a previously detected exploit to help resolve the issue?
If so, feel free to connect with our team, and they can help you take a closer look at why your file keeps getting quarantined.
Ren (and Katie),
I did not, but have now and it's working. Sorry, I totally missed the video link and added it to the Allow List through the manual option.
Thanks again!
