Menu Mystery

I'm working on a course that a colleague created, and cannot figure out how she got the menu to display as a drop-down rather than as part of the sidebar:
In my courses, with the same options as above my menu looks like this:
Both of these courses were created in Presenter '13. I'd like my menu to look like the first image, not the second. Any idea how to do that?

In the Player Properties dialog, select the Menu option and use the Up arrow to move this item into the Top Right or Top Left category.
