Mobile player library - how long does it store lessons?

Jul 26, 2016

Hi there, I am publishing courses using articulate presenter.  I publish for mobile player access, but not for downloading for offline viewing.  When a learner downloads the app, and views a lesson from our LMS, how long will that lesson remain in the mobile library?    Will they have access as soon as they have internet connection?

My LMS does not fully support tincan, so it makes it difficult to track course progress.  Is there a way to limit the mobile player library so that the learner must always go through our LMS to open it again?

Hi Stephen!

If your LMS does not support Tin Can, you can simply mark the box to include HTML5 output and not allow users to utilize the Articulate Mobile Player. We have an article here about publishing for mobile devices.

We had a similar thread here where we discussed revoking access and how that worked with LMS authorization. Not sure if that's more on track of what you would be looking for.

As far as 'how long' the courses are in the library - that would be until the user deletes them.
