New to Presenter - Freezing Up
Nov 14, 2013
Hello,
I am new to Presenter, and am playing around in advance of starting a "real" project. I am having issues every time I try and add a video. I created a very short (again, playing around) video using Replay. Every time I then try to add it in to Presenter, it appears, but everything freezes up and I have to close down PPT all together. I've tried 2 or 3 times.
PPT 2010
Presenter 13
Any thoughts? Am I just missing a trick?
Thanks in advance!
Kristin

I feel your pain. I installed Articulate Studio 13, now PowerPoint freezes non-stop. I'm waiting for a reply.
Good Afternoon, Ed and Kristin.
First of all, please make sure your project files are located on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior.
Assuming that you are working locally, a good first step any time Studio seems to misbehave is to Repair Studio '13.
Ed, your duplicate post seems to indicate that you may have already tried a repair, so here are some next steps if a Repair doesn't seem to solve the problem:
If these steps don't seem to help or if you get stuck at any point along the way, please feel free to submit a Support Case so that we can get you working one-on-one with one of our Engineers. Thanks!
Not sure if anyone is still experiencing problems with Articulate Studio 13 freezing up after upgrading? Wanted to share our experience. Just received Articulate Studio yesterday and installed on our computers. Some of our pcs are still on Windows XP. That is where we experienced issues.
After installation the desktop icons for Articulat Stuio 09 had been removed/replaced with Articulate Studio 13 icons. We thought that Articulate Studio 09 had been removed. When we would use Articulate Studio 13 we would freeze after a couple of clicks on the different functions.
To fix:
1. Removed Articulate Studio 09 completely (Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs)
2. Reinstalled Articulate Studio 13
Everything works fine now.
Thanks for sharing Cindy
