Pages "blinking" when clicking on Hyperlinks

Oct 05, 2011

Hello, I can't seem to find what I am looking for, so I am posting here in the hopes someone can help.  I have a slide in PPT where the user clicks on links to view different highlighted sections of a report (hyperlinks to other slides).  I've placed the elements that don't change on a master slide to ensure everything stays in the correct place.  Everything works great in PPT preview and the functionality works when I publish.  BUT sometimes as I click on the links the page seems to "blink" before the next on appears.  It happens fast, but it's quite noticeable and a bit distracting.  The "blinking" is random, it's not just on a specific slide.

What can I do to eliminate this?

Thanks,

Hi Danielle, most likely because presenter only loads 3 slides at a time the current slide + 2 more, if you hyperlink beyond this or back you may get a loading issue, presenter has to quicly load the slide bckground and slide for the slide you have hyperlinked to.

You can make this a bit easier by trying to ensure the slide you hyperlink to has the same master slide as the one you hyperlink from then it will only have to load the slide and think about your hyperlinks which one do you think they will hyperlink to first and set this within 2 slides

Not much else you can do
