Please Help! Problem with publishing!

Aug 29, 2011

Hi guys!

I have a strange proble with publishing a presentation with 120 slides.

The publish wizzard freezes at slide 113. I tried to isolate the last 10 slides , that is slides 110-120, and they where published successfully.

What is the problem? Is there a limit to the number of slides?

Thanks

Hi Dimitris,

If you are publishing and the publishing wizard becomes unresponsive please review the following article which outlines suggestions to resolve your issue:

If you have Avast antivirus installed, the publishing process may not complete. For more details on this issue, please see:

Hi, I am testing your suggestions right now.

Is there a chance that articulate doesn't support many slides (above 100) or many pictures (4-5 smalls per slide)?

IT is strange that Up to Slides 112 it publishes. If I add more it crashes at slide 113, which ever it is...

The error is ERROR 120.

I predict my presentation to be at about 300 slides. IS there a way to publish it in 3 parts and then combine to one publish output?

I now tried it in another computer with trial account, same issue. I reused the slides and deleted 10 slides before and after the slide 113 and the problem persisted. I reinstalled articulate and now it reaches the end, that is it proceces all slides, but just before it completes the saving of the total file, publish wizzard crashes again! (error 120)

Then I tried with another powerpoint presentation, of bigger size with 180 slides and it worked ok! Then I tried to delete all slides in the later presentation and reuse the slides of the first presentation, but it crashed again. IT seems it should be some memory problem management of articulate along with powerpoint 2007. Is there a limit to the number of pictures I can paste in the powerpoint presentation (I have 1-3 pictures and some ppt shapes per slide. I also have 4-5 very small engage interactions). Any syggestions?

Hi Dimitris,

There's likely 1 of 2 things causing the issue:  The presentation is corrupt in some way or your computer doesn't have the RAM / virtual memory necessary to publish the presentation.

Thus, I'd recommend submitting a support case to us so that we can take a closer look at the issue:

Just so you know, before I started working for Articulate, I was creating 300+ slide presentations with advanced animations and multimedia / video throughout and I didn't have any problems.  Once we receive your files, we'll be able to take a look and figure out exactly what is causing the issue.

Thanks again. My pc has 3GB Ram and Core 2 DUO CPU which I think it should be enough...

I will try to publish it piece by piece in order to spot the issue. If not I will contact the support you mention above!
