Powerpoint Objects Disapper or resize (enlarge)

Nov 25, 2013

Hello,

I used Articulate Studio extensively a few years back. Now I'm working with it on a project again and am having an issue with many of my Powerpoint shapes either disappearing or displaying much larger than I created them.

This happens after I click the Articulate ribbon and publish to web. When I go back, strange things have happened to my slides.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jennifer Zohar

Hi Jennifer and welcome to Heroes!

So everything is ok in your files, you publish them - and then go back to revisit the .ppt file and objects are off? Does everything look ok in your published version? You mentioned that you've been using Studio for a bit, but didn't indicate if you've upgrade to Studio 13. Are you using Presenter 09 or 13? One of the first things you'll want to check is the DPI setting to ensure it's set to 96 DPI.  I'd also suggest conducting a repair of Studio (directions for 09 and for 13)

Additionally, there is a known issue with grouped objects on your slide master causing other objects be misplaced in Presenter 09.

Thanks, Ashley,

I am using Studio '09 and PowerPoint '13 and Win 7.

My DPI appears to be correct.

I tried to run the update with '09. When in the Articulate ribbon, if I click the Check for Updates link I am up to date.

I tried the instructions you provided and got as far as starting the repair wizard. However, it couldn't locate the update.exe file and I'm not sure when to find it. (It was looking in my temp. directory.)

I have ungrouped the objects on my slide master.

The objects are displaying oddly in the published files as well.

Here is an example of some before's and after's:

Any other ideas?

Hi Jennifer,

We don't support running Presenter 09 with Powerpoint 2013 as you'll see here and there is a known issue with grouped objects being on the slide master but it looks like you've ungrouped the images? The first image was difficult to see, are you able to create a Presenter package and share the files with us here? If you'd prefer to share privately, you're welcome to share here as well.
