PowerPoint stops working when I insert a video form file or a quiz

Aug 28, 2019

I have Studio 13 and Office 365 ProPlus with PowerPoint MSO 64-bit and I am not working on a network.   Now when I insert a video, MP4 file,  my articulate file is 2KB and I get a message  - Microsoft PowerPoint has stopped working and it closes down.  I have re-installed Studio 13 and it has not solved the problem

Hi Linda,

I am sorry you are running into this! It sounds like you have done quite a bit of troubleshooting here, so let's see if we can get you back on the right track.

Have you been able to import your video into a different PowerPoint presentation or does this appear to affect this specific file?

If it appears that you are not able to import a video into any presentation, a repair of  Microsoft Office might help (the steps are at the bottom of the page).

If you're still running into issues after the repair steps, please let us know! You can also connect with our Support Engineers here

Hello

it is not the specific file - I have tried to load different videos into a number of PowerPoint presentations and it shuts down with all combinations.

I have completed the on-line repair of Microsoft Office but has not rectified the problem - also crashes when I open an old Articulate file tat worked a dream

Any help would be much appreciate

thanks
