Hi - am having some unusual problems recently with presentations created in Studio 09 presenter. The presentations are playing perfectly for some of the students but not for others. And in some cases, a presentation that played perfectly for them yesterday won't play again today!
Any ideas?
I've asked them to try viewing the material in different browsers, and to update their flash player but nothing seems to be working.
The presentations are being made available to the students by the lecturer through Blackboard 9.1. (I work in eLearning support and am trying to figure out this problem for the lecturer.)
Some students are having difficulties viewing/running some of the presentations. When they click on the link provided they just get a blank screen. In other cases they can view a number of slides before being unable to continue. And one student has reported suddenly not being able view presentations he's viewed previously. It seems very 'hit and miss'. What I can't figure out is that if they can view some presentations why can't they view them all, seeing as they were all created the same way. As I said we asked them to try different browsers and to update their flash player but it doesn't seem to make any difference. The lecturer can view all of the presentations without any difficulty. I can view all but one of them on my own laptop. Am very confused. She seems to have done everything correctly.
Hello, I am the lead instructional designer at Orange Coast College. I have the same issue on our campus. The articulate lectures are not consistent, sometimes they play, sometimes they do not. They played last semester fine, but some do not. This is not a computer specific problem, but how Articulate is played in Blackboard 9.1 Lectures I took screenshots of, that played days ago are not playing again.
We have 25,000 students at Orange Coast College, with many courses based entirely on articulate 09. This issue has not been fixed in the support ticket I had submitted. I need help as faculty with articulate lectures are very frustrated.
Please have your best tech support contact me, I will create an account for them to enter the course.
Hi Joseph and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! I added a note to the case (00360117) to point back to this thread and have issue re-opened. No response was received on the ticket from the e-mail that was sent on 10/7. It would be best for you to continue to work with support, but I do appreciate you sharing your experience.

Hi Frances and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
I'm not sure with what you mean by 'won't play'? Are they receiving some kind of error? Where is the content published? How are they accessing it?

Hi Frances! It sounds like it is a user/computer specific issue. Especially since the lecturer can access all of the projects.
The only thing I know to share at this point is our system requirements so that you can make sure all of the user computers meet the specifications.
Hopefully if any other community members have experienced this with Blackboard, they will chime in.
