Presenter Audio doesn't stop when click .swf

Sep 07, 2011

Hello. I searched the forums a bit but couldnt find my issue anywhere so am posting. Apologies if its here and I just didn't see it.

I have a Presenter project.  In several slides you can click on an image to go look at a .swf file.

There is  audio in Presenter for the slide as well as the .swf has audio. (its usually a captivate or engage module).

So the audio plays on the PPT slide in Presenter. Say the user doesn't wait for it to finish? clicks on the swf...now you have TWO audios playing at same time. Is there a way to prevent this?

Thanks

Denise,

Because the inserted Flash Movie cannot communicate with the audio inserted on the slide, it's not possible to stop the slide audio.

You could use a static image in place of the inserted Flash movie that hyperlinks to another slide. So when the end user clicks the thumbnail(static image) to start the Engage content or Captivate movie, they are brought to a similar looking slide minus any slide audio.

Does this make sense?
