Presenter Freezes and Forces Restart
Mar 31, 2011
Has anyone else experienced this issue when syncing animations in Articulate Presenter/PowerPoint 2007:
You click on "sync animations" in Articulate menu. You proceed to sync the animations and audio on your various presentation slides. Then, when you hit the "save and close" button, it freezes up, tells you it has an unrecoverable issue and the program needs to close. When you reopen PowerPoint, your recent syncing work is not saved in the "recovered" file. I've had this happen 10 times in a row, in spite of restarting PowerPoint and restarting the entire computer.
This has been happening repeatedly over the last couple weeks. And I do have all of the latest Articulate updates installed. Any help is much appreciated.

We have also noticed this happen for the past month or so, on different machines, with different files. I have since put forth a directive to use the Advanced animation timeline in PowerPoint instead of the SynchAnimations tool. No problems with that, and much finer manipulation available.
Hi Christine & welcome to Heroes,
It sounds like there is something blocking the process from working correctly. The issue could be due to a number of things like anti-virus software, working off of a network, or other issues. Would you mind submitting a support case so that we can take a closer look into the issue?
