I'm starting to create numerous series of software training. In the past, I've created demos and simulations automatically through Captivate so the user could see how to perform a task in the software and then practice performing the same task all without leaving the learning module. Is there a way to do this with any of the programs in Studio '13?
You can use Replay to record your screen and create a demo of how to perform a task. Replay publishes your projects as MP4 videos, so they're easy to embed in Presenter '13. If you have a license for Studio '13, you can download Replay for free! Then to set up the simulation portion of the course, you can use Quizmaker '13 hotspot quiz slides. You'll want to include a screenshot of each step on each hotspot slide.
Another option would be to use Storyline. Storyline allows you to record your screen and insert the recording as a video and as step-by-step view mode, try mode, or test mode slides. You could also use Quizmaker '13 hotspot quiz slides to set up the simulations steps manually.
