It's better explained with the picture. Say I have 3 slides. If I choose slide properties-pranching for 1st slide I see only "default" values, but I should see that I can branch to 2nd or 3d slide. (I have tried after re-installation under admin rights). Why this happen?
If you are experiencing unexpected issues with your animations, annotations, the audio editor, or others, the issues may be related to your Regional Language Settings in a non-English Windows environment. Alternatively, if you do have an English installation of Windows, your Regional Language Settings could still be incorrect in rare instances.
For more information on how to correct your Regional Language Settings, please see the KB article in the link below:
It looks like you are trying to branch the "previous slide" that has not yet appeared in the presentation. Be careful with the fact that "at end of slide, branch to" appears BEFORE "previous button branches to."
When you select the "at end of slide, branch to" drop down menu do you see slides 2 and 3 as options?
I corrected Reginal Language Settings as article suggested - still the same :(
Heidi, thanky veru much for reply! But "default" is the only option I see on all 3 slides for "at the end of the slide" as well as for "previous" button.
If anybody has the same issue - this problem was solved with excellent Articulate support team (many thanks to David Burton)
! I had a problem with UAC on specific folder.
Hi Janus and Brian,
I have the exact same problem. I've also changed the Regional Language Settings as described above, but problem persists.
Would it be possible to give a more detailed description here on how your issue was solved, Janus? How did you solve the problem with UAC? (And - what is UAC?)
I followed the instructions above (although I'm on a Windows 7, and there's no checkbox to turn UAC on/off, but a slider for different levels of security - I took it to the lowest level which would be the same as turning it off).
Unfortunately behaviour persists, I still get only the Default slide as an option for branching.
I know I have been able to branch previously; a few months ago I used branching in a project. I have not done any major changes to the computer that I know of. The biggest one would be to turn UAC off, I guess. (I think I'll be safer turning it on again.)
No more suggestions on this problem?
Or maybe better to submit my own support case, there seems to be different solutions for this problem.
I think you should submit support case and give a link to this discussion for shortening the time for support people of Articulate to come to right solution, I also remember that my temporary folder was cleaned before re-installation of the studio - may be that was the reason this solution worked for me....
When you click on the Slide Properties button, you'll see an option in the new window that says "Group By." Is this field blank? If so, try changing it to Slide Number and then try branching again.

Oh!!
It was this simple?!
Ok, problem solved - thanks a lot for support and fast responses ( Janus for being helpful and Brian for the solution too).

Hello Carina!
Here the quote from David Burton follow-up e-mail, that might help you:
What was done to resolve this issue?
1. Uninstalled the Articulate Studio
2. Disabled the system UAC (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Turn-User-Account-Control-on-or-off)
3. Restarted the system
4. Reinstalled the Articulate Studio.
Many thanks for posting that, Janus. I will try it!
