Studio 13 trial, cannot preview or publish

Hi,

I am hoping to convince work that this is the best product for them to purchase.  I have 12 days left of the '13 trial (running PPT 2010, 32 bit, on window 8) and have created 2 courses to try to prove it will be a valuable program.  My problem is that as yet I haven't been able to preview a whole course or publish it, I just get an error saying " we're sorry, something went wrong" then it asks for information about what you were doing at the time. Please help

Hi Berna and welcome to Heroes!

I'm sorry that you're experiencing difficulty in previewing and publishing, and first let's check a few things: 

  • Are you working on your local drive (your C: drive)? Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. 
  • You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.

Can you conduct a repair of Studio 13? You may also need to repair the supporting Windows software as described here.
