I am working on creating an e-Learning tutorial as a master's project for my Educational Technology program at ASU. I created a powerpoint with narration and then imported into Articulate. However, the sound was not working. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to incorporate sound into Presenter? Is it best to just narrate in Articulate?
Presenter does support audio recorded via SlideShow -> Record Narration so that would be one way to do it. If you aren't working with other folks who don't have Presenter on this project, I would recommend recording using Articulate. If you wanted to do some more advanced recording, you could follow the steps I outlined here for improving the quality of your narration:
You can do that by either recording directly in Articulate or you could also record in a 3rd party tool like Audacity, optimize the audio files and then import them.
HI I just found your thread. I am unable to hear my audio in articulate that was recorded by someone else in their PPT software and they did not have articulate. I had contacted Articlulate by phone and someone sent me the info below in a link: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=ap9&id=6i0e0c7krs1
I am confused by your thread. Are you saying the same thing as below?
HI! If the person followed the "PP>Slide show>Record N" and I can't hear the narration in articulate, is there a setting in articulate I need to change?
I figured out what is the matter! Ignore my last thread! The narration in PPT is controlled by the student clicking the speaker icon. How do I use this feature in Articulate? I would imagine I can't! Thanks Susan

Presenter ’09 will recognize audio recorded in the following manner:
PowerPoint -> Slide Show -> Record Narration
However, Presenter ’09 does not support narration recorded like this:
PowerPoint -> Insert -> Movies and Sounds -> Record Sound
For best results, we recommend using the Articulate -> Record Narration tool or importing audio via Articulate -> Import Audio.
Hi Susan, welcome to Heroes
Yep, the link you shared has the same information that Justin is stating. Is there something specific that we can help you with?

HI again!
