Trouble when hosting Presenter package on my website.....?

Dec 28, 2011

Hello, I am having some difficulty and don't know where to begin to find the problem.  I let clients preview e-learning packages on my GoDaddy hosted website.  All of the packages that I uploaded previously worked.  Now I have uploaded a package the same way that I always have and I get the Articulate loading bar, then a static screen.  If I launch the player.html file locally it plays just fine.  Here is a link to the package I am referring to:  http://noicoach.com/IN-FH/player.html  and here is a link to one that I uploaded previously that works:  http://noicoach.com/FH-ER/player.html

Both of these programs were uploaded to my webserver using Filezilla as the FTP client and in the same way.  Some things that have changed since I last uploaded:  I got a new website that is a wordpress site (but all other programs were re-uploaded after this change and they work).  Filezilla has gone through a few updates (????)  Beyond that, everything seems to be the same and the package works locally and on my Moodle LMS.

Can anyone steer me in a direction to know if this is a problem with Filezilla, My hosting account, User Error - Getting very frustrated.

Hey Richard!

If your published Articulate Presenter output plays properly on your local computer, but won’t load after you’ve uploaded it to your web server or web site, then it’s likely that the XML files were corrupted during the upload process. A common symptom in the Articulate Player is to see “SLIDE 100 of 160 PRESENTATION COMPLETE” in the seekbar, like yours is showing.

To correct this behavior, either use the FTP upload feature of Articulate Presenter, or be sure to set your FTP application to upload files as binary.

Uploading the XML files in ASCII or Auto mode may cause corruption. It is also important to maintain the directory structure of your published content.

Let us know if that resolves the issue. Thanks!
