Unable to load articulate.ppam
Feb 20, 2020
I'm evaluating Articulate 360 to determine whether the upgrade is justifiable for my team. I have been very impressed. However, one teammate and now I have been stopped dead by a load error. Quite suddenly, Articulate Presenter 360 has stopped working. It's hard to justify the upgrade for budgets when the product becomes dead in the water. I am using Windows 10 and Office Professional (16.0.4266.1001). I have uninstalled Articulate 360 completely and re-installed it with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Patrick,
I see that you were able to contact our support team as well and Jopney is currently working with you.
Hi Leslie:
Yes, I am working with Jopney on this problem. Every copy of Articulate Presenter 360 we have for evaluation has the same issue, all of which has occurred during the past 36 hours. I sure hope we can resolve this quickly.
Thanks, Patrick.
I've shared your message with Jopney as well.

Update to the situation. Microsoft has identified the articulate.presenter.ppam file plug-in to Powerpoint as malware. Our antivirus partner Cisco has also identified it as malicious malware with data mining functionality. As of this moment, it appears that Presenter 360 is dead in the water.
Good morning all, I have a user in my environment using Articulate 360 and having the same issue - the "articulate.ppam" file is being removed by Cisco AMP (our threat detection software) from the ...\360\Studio folder
Can someone please advise if this has been addressed between Articulate, Microsoft & Cisco, or if there is a viable workaround that will not trigger threat alerts?
Thanks very much in advance
Hi Martin and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Thanks for contacting us and sharing that you are running into a similar issue. We are investigating this issue.
In the meantime, please have your IT team allowlist articulate.ppam in your security software.
Thank you so much for the information, Leslie.
I've been in touch with our security team and they have asked for some more information on the file before they are able to start looking into whitelisting it. Is it possible to confirm if file, once installed, will be static or dynamic?
Also, is it possible to supply the original SAH256 hash value for the file?
Thanks very much in advance
Hi Martin,
Those both sound like great questions for our support team.
