Unable to Preview, Publish loses Slide Master

Mar 27, 2013

My computer had to be re-imaged, so I had to re-install Articulate Presenter.  I am running Windows 7 with Presenter 09.  This is the first I have used Presenter since the reinstall.  I was using a presentation created by someone else and added my animations, audio, synched, etc. and all went well.  Until I realized I was working from the dreaded network drive - big mistake, I know. So, I did a Save As to my local C drive.  I thought it was ok, until I went to Preview - and that would not work.  If I tried to preview a range, it wouldn't show any slides.  I was able to Publish, but it stopped on the 4th slide - there was a lot of graphics on the slide, so I assumed that was an issue.

At that point, I decided to start with a new presentation on my C drive and just copy and pasted the content from a few of the slides (and completely redid the graphic slide).  I wanted to see if I could get it to work with just a few slides, but still could not preview, and when I published it completely removed my slide master background.

To complicate matters, the first time I started PowerPoint it told me a new version of ARticualte was available, so I clicked to download.  However, it came up asking me to uninstall or reinstall and I was worried about doing that when I have an important project I need to finish up ASAP, so I cancelled.  I don't know if that caused my problem or not.

In any event, I am a bit panicked.  Can anyone offer any help?  I am really in a time crunch, and I don't know what to do to resolve this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shoot, sorry for the trouble, Sue.

Any chance you'd be able to send us the packaged course so we can try to help? First, create an Articulate Presenter Package of your presentation as described here. Then upload the resulting zip file from your computer on the second page of this form, and we''ll attempt to diagnose what's happening when we receive your upload.

Thanks!

Thanks, Peter.  I also tried uninstalling articulate and office and reinstalling both. I still can't preview but could publish but still no images or slide master backgrounds. Also, publish fails if there is any smart art. I even tried a previous presentation that workred fine before, and now that one also doesn't work.  I did file a case with uploaded files. Case 00325838

thanks for any help.  I really don't know what else to do at this point.
