Unable to publish project

Feb 14, 2017

Hi All,

I've recently updated an eLearning course in articulate Presenter '13. Trying to publish the project to scorm 1.2 unfortunately always fails, no matter what I try.

It's quite a big project, taking quite a while to publish. The progress bar goes all the way through to slide 209 of 209, but then I get presented with the "something went wrong and presenter might close" error message.

I tried to copy the content into a new presentation and publish that, which failed. I also tried to rename the project, also no luck.

I then tried to publish the untouched older project file, which I successfully published in the past, and also failed.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks

Alexandra

Hey Alexandra,

Oh man, I hate to hear that you keep getting an error message after all of that troubleshooting. It sounds like you already tried the things I would have recommended. The only other thing I would recommend is a repair of Studio '13. Beyond that, I'd want our Support Engineers to weigh in. They're rockstars at pinpointing the cause of these kinds of issues, and they'll work with you one-on-one to get this sorted out as soon as possible. If you do decide to open a case, let me know your case number so I can follow along with you. :)

Hi Alyssa,

I tried to open a case. Unfortunately, all I got was a fairly generic email, advising me to take exactly the steps I already performed. The ticket then got closed. I opened a new case yesterday, submiting the error report, but haven't heard anything back yet whatsoever.

I tried and repaired studio, which did not help. I then completely removed the software and reinstalled it, also no luck. Please find attached the error report I get presented with when trying to publish the file. Maybe you can try and have a look at this? I really need to publish this project, the update contained crucial changes to the content of the module which a reflect a change in legislation.

Hello Alexandra - Looks like your first case (01018939) was handled by Eloisa. It does seem like generic information, but it helps many of our customers and is just a great first step. If you run into this again, just be sure to respond and confirm with your support engineer to proceed. After no response, the case does close.

I see where you opened another case yesterday (01025220) and that you are working with Vira. Looks like a reply e-mail was sent to you, so now I'm curious if you're not getting the responses. By the time you see this, I've re-sent the e-mail - please be sure to check your spam/junk to see if it got filed away there. It will come from support@articulate.com.

Hi Leslie,

I've got this email through, but only after releasing it, since it was on hold. Apparently my company's security policy held the emails back.

I performed all the steps described in the last email, but I am still unable to publish the file. Would you like me to generate a download link for the original file?

Thanks
Alexandra
