After updating to version 8, I am suddenly having difficulties with uploading audio. We use a standard recorder and have not changed the quality settings. It seems that on importing, the quality of the audio is reduced and I get a warning: "unsupported wav file"

Oops... Here is the screen shot
What are the settings of the wav files that you are using? Not what the program says, but under the files properties, summary tab?
right click the file, select Properties, then the Summary tab. It'll tell you the format and settings of the file as Windows sees it.
Hi Dwayne,
You are correct, for some reason it looks like this particular audio file has been recorded at different settings. They are:
Bit Rate: 4096kbps
Audio sample size: 32 bit
Channels 2 (stereo)
Audio sample rate: 64 kHz
Audio format: PCM
Is there a way that I can convert the file to be imported easier into Articulate?
Goldwave (http://www.goldwave.com/) allows you to resave files at differing bit rates, as well as batch processing for more than one file. Shareware.
ITunes will let you convert audio files too and it's free! Here's a screencast on how to do this:
