Upgrade on a different PC
Oct 10, 2013
I guess others will have this issue/question....
I have a PC with Studio09 on it and will a lot of training courses out there with clients accessing I use it to apply fixes to the course and updates to content whilst being able to provide a common look/menu items to all.
I really want to upgrade to Studio13 but could I do this on another PC, pay the upgrade price and keep both instances of Studio running? This would enable me to learn all about Studio13 and start to migrate the courses to the new format (we've a lot of courses) and then put them ALL online at the same time (approx Jan)? That way, clients will all get the new format at the same time without complaints / issues.
Big thanks for looking at this
Graham

One solution you might consider is the one I am using. I have a dual boot system with Windows 7 on one partition and Windows 8 on the second partition. I had Studio 9 on both partitions. I upgraded to Studio 13 but only on one partition so that now I can work with either version by booting into either Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Ah Gotcha... so the License number is tied to the PC and not the copy of the software?
Hi Graham! You could place this on different PCs. Your EULA allows up to 2 computers per user even if this was an issue
I think your idea is a fabulous one as most of us are having to manage '09 and '13 in different ways.
Bought the product, so thanks
