Using Side panel to Display image

Nov 12, 2013

Just doing some experimenting with Presenter 13 and want to know a couple of things.

For the side panel, I just want to only display a single image.  No menu of slides.

Questions . . .

1) What is better to use for the image, a presenter pix or an icon?  The image will not change through the course?

2) For either a presenter pix or icon, how do you determine the size of the image to use to "fill things" when you have custom sized slides?  I want the image used to fill the entire area of the side panel.

TIA.

Good Morning, Gerry.

  1. I presume that your "what is better?" question was a best practices inquiry for the community, so I won't respond to that one.
  2. I'm a little unsure about your second question.  Why would the image size change when your slide size changes?  For the best results, use a use a logo image that has a maximum width of 200 pixels and a maximum height of 220 pixels. If your image doesn't fit within these dimensions, Presenter will scale it to fit.  The Presenter Photo will occupy a space 73 pixels wide by 85 pixels high in your published course. For best results, use an image that maintains this aspect ratio.

Please let me know where I've misunderstood, and we'll be happy to help.  Thanks!
