With '09, I liked being able to have the side navigation that didn't open when the presentation started but had a button bottom right that could be clicked to see the navigation bar to go to the right place in the presentation. In this newest version, looks like I can either have it display or not...there's no collapsible option?
View modes—Standard, No sidebar, and Slide only—are no longer supported. However, you can customize which player features appear on each slide in your course. For example, you can display the course menu on some slides and remove it from others. See Managing Slide Propertiesto learn how.
Thanks for the follow up. This "upgrade" is somewhat of a disappointment with the loss of that feature. Our team has come to find it helpful to be able to expand the navigation bar only when needed. We publish large presentations that view better without the navigation but allows the presenter to open the navigation when needed and jump directly to the section from which he/she left off previously. Saves on having to create multiple "modules" for training presentations. Would love to see that return in future enhancements. This will make us think twice about having the entire team upgradeto '13.
