I have a PPTX and accompanying PPTA file. There is a large video file that is embedded in the PPTA. I no longer have the original video file. I want to put the video in another training module.
Is there some way of extracting the video file from the PPTA?
Or, is there some way of copying-and-pasting (or importing) the slide into another PowerPoint slide deck in such a way that it preserves the video?
This article explains how Quizzes and Interactions are stored in Articulate Presenter '13, and provides a method for extracting them from the *.ppta file. Although this method isn't officially supported by Articulate for extracting video, it might be worth a try. Good luck with your project!
Thanks, Justin. I was just trying to help a user figure out why the date/time on her .quiz files wasn't updating even though she was making updates to the embedded quizzes through Presenter. It never occurred to me that the .ppta file would be the key.
