I created a software simulation using Adobe Capative 6. The simulation was added to Articulate Presenter '09 as a web object. The simulation runs if it is configured to "Display in a new browser window". If I select the option to "Display in slide", I get a script error, "An error has occurred in the script on this page". Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? If I respond no, then the simulation will run. How do I get the simulation to display in the slide, minus the script error?
Welcome to Heroes! When viewing the published output, are you viewing locally? What I mean is that if you published for the Web, then it should be viewed from a Web Server. If published for a LMS, then it should be viewed from a LMS, etc. Take a look at the following KB article.
Hi, I have a similar problem I have embedded a video to play in the slide but whenever viewed in IE it is displayed in a pop up browser even though I have set it up to display in slide.
Hello, Salwa. Appreciate these additional details!
I'm having a little trouble recreating what you're describing with a sample Storyline project on IE11 so I'll need your help:
Is this happening with all of your hosted videos or a particular one?
With your permission, I'd like to test your .story file on IE11 to dig into what's happening and will delete it after troubleshooting. If that works for you, here's where you can share the file privately with me.
Oh no, I'm sorry you're running into that! I'm going to open a case for us to communicate so we can figure out some next steps. Look out for a follow-up email from me in a bit. Talk soon!

I have tried everything I can think of.
Hi there, Salwa. I'm sorry you're hitting a snag in IE with your course. Let me get some information from you so I can help with next steps:
Hi Crystal,
I am using Storyline 3. I inserted the video as a web object. Yes the file is a MP4 which sits on our amazon server.
IE is playing it in a new window whereas in Chrome it works fine and plays it embedded in the slide.
Thanks.
