Why can I only add one annotation?

Jun 06, 2012

I have used the 'Add Annotations' option before and added multiple annotations on a single slide.

I have just gone to do the same thing again but after adding the first annotation the 'Stop Annotation' button changes to 'Start Annotation' and it ends the recording.

It does not matter which type of annotation I use, they are all reacting the same.

Can anyone give me any clues as to why this is suddenly happening?

Many thanks in advance.

Hey Helen, what might be happening is that you are adding annotations to a slide that doesn't contain any audio. If that's the case, the annotation recording window will stop recording as soon as the default slide duration is reached (which is probably 5 seconds). If you need to add annotations to a non-audio slide, here's a way to work around the default slide duration:  http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=ap9&id=2takt712ca2z
