Scorm 2004 publish in artuclate presenter

Mar 18, 2011

In my presentation of Powerpoint, I have two plain slide in powerpoint and the third slide of quiz in it.

When I publish it in LMS with scorm 2004 along with launcher option publish is successful. But when I open the launcher.html I get error "Unable to acquire LMS API.

Please can you help me to solve this problem.

The SCO must be loaded to an LMS for the SCORM functions to work. Launched outside of that environment you'll consistently receive that error because there's nothing to connect to.

You may also want to publish your SCO without the launcher (look in publish settings for a checkbox to uncheck). Some LMS launch their own tracking frame and it's possible that this launcher file will interfere with the connection. LMS that launch courseware in another window makes this file unnecessary anyway

Hi Shalini & welcome to Heroes,

If you receive an "Unable to acquire LMS API" error when launching Articulate content in your LMS, this may be caused by the version of Java that you have installed.

Some LMS’s use a Java API object to load content.  Since content created in Articulate does not require Java, please do the following:

*  Contact your LMS provider and ensure that your installed version of Java is compatible with the version of the LMS you are using.

*  Ensure that you have published your content properly as described in the following article:

If this issue persists, you can make the following modification to your player template, and test your content again:

1)  Open your presentation in PowerPoint.

2)  Go to Articulate > Player Templates.

3)  Select the "Other" tab.

4)  Deselect (uncheck) "Launch presentation in new window".

5)  Close the Player Template manager, and save the change when prompted.

6)  Publish your presentation for LMS using the newly saved player template, and test the content in your LMS
