"User may view slides after" property and publishing to LMS

Oct 17, 2011

In Quiz Properties I set User may view slides after quiz to "After passing quiz". (I set this from the Articulate tab > Quizmaker Quiz button, not actually in Quizmaker.) It worked perfectly when I published for Web and ran it. However, after I published for LMS (SCORM) and tested it, I was able to get to the slides following the quiz without ever attempting the quiz. I read something about setting the user navigation to restricted, but I didn't want to restrict the navigation other than the slide following the quiz. Is there something in Quizmaker I am not doing correctly, so some way to fix this so the learner is not able to get to the slides after the quiz without passing after publishing for LMS? Thanks for any suggestions!!

Hi Laura,

After you publish to LMS, can you try running the player.html file on your machine & verifying that the "after passing quiz" option is working correctly?  If it is, then it's possible that your LMS isn't properly updating the file when you upload it online.  You may need to delete the file from the LMS & then upload the new one to ensure that it uploads correctly.

Hi Laura,

When you go to publish your presentation, make sure that you're selecting the Player Template that you just saved. The drop-down for Player Template will automatically select the last player template that you published with. Depending upon the changes that you made, the selected player template might not be the one that you expect. Make sure that "In Project" isn't shown in the Player Template name. Otherwise, you'll continue to publish the player template that doesn't have your changes.

Also, try creating a new folder on your Desktop & then publishing to that new folder.  This will ensure that you're not seeing a cached version of the presentation.
