Black Screen on Publish

I spent all day adding video clips and images to a replay file for the first time, when I go to publish I just get a black screen video, no audio or anything.  I then spent several hours reading through these comments, I tried enabling the acceleration (it was already enabled) and repairing the .exe download and restarting (did nothing).  This is obviously a very common issue and it looks like the most common "fix" is that just no one uses the software anymore.  I'm frustrated because I really love the way my video looks in replay, and now no one is ever going to see it.  I did not use screen capture, I just used video clips spliced with images I already had.  Any help to salvage this many hours of work would be appreciated.

Hi Margaret,

Thanks for reaching out here and I'm sorry about the behavior you experienced. When we have seen this issue before it was mostly with users who were recording at full screen and publishing that version - but since you mentioned not conducting any screen recording I'd suspect it was something different. You mentioned repairing the download and I just wanted to confirm you went through the steps documented here and also confirmed to be working with local project files (including publishing locally). 

If you're still having difficulty we'll want to take a look at the .replay file so that we're able to test publishing it ourselves.
