Thumbnail selection in Replay

What are the parameters for which Replay chooses the thumbnail for the output mp4 video? Most of the time it chooses the first image in the video, which would be logical. But I am dealing with a .replay in which the published mp4 is consistently a seemingly random frame from within the video.
I've tried several variations of images at the beginning of the A and B track, and still get random frames from farther along the timeline.
I'd like the published mp4 to have the title frame for its thumbnail. Is there a way to force this?

Hi Meryem!
Where are you sharing the Replay video? Is there an option to change the poster frame when adding a video? I know that Storyline allows you to do this, but not sure that Replay lets you specify when publishing the video.
You are welcome to share your thoughts with our product development team here.
I know this is an older thread, but I have the same question. I put together a video in Replay, published to Review, and am embedding it in a Rise class. The thumbnail displayed is random, and I can't figure out how to change it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there Lawrence!
Thanks for your post. You mentioned the thumbnail that's displayed in Rise is random - are you looking to use the first frame of the video instead?
Would you be able to share the Replay .mp4 file with me to I can test it in a Rise course on my end? You can attach it here in the thread by using the ADD ATTACHMENT button, or you can send it directly to our Support Engineers here if you’d prefer to send it privately.
Thanks for the quick reply. I would prefer to use the first frame of the video, and I'll have to send the video privately.
I understand, Lawrence. Be sure to let me know your case number so I can follow along.
Working with support, it seems the solution is to add an image at the beginning of the video.
Interestingly, when I published to Articulate Review and embedded into Rise that way it was still using a random image from the video, but when I published to mp4 and uploaded into Rise it used the first frame/still image.
Thanks, Lawrence. I see you're working with my colleague Wilbert in case #01048932. I'm glad to hear that you're seeing the first video frame after publishing to MP4 and uploading the video to Rise. :)
As long as I add an image as the first frame instead of starting with video, it works.
