2 Newbie Questions

Sep 30, 2014

1) Drag and Drop...How do I make the answers go back to start over  when there are multiple attempts.

2)  I cant seem to copy and paste  some text from one PPT to another.

3) I saved and published....I would like to post it into Livebinders (a cloud), however it takes forever to load and when it finally did, I ahd the entire working folder of articualte.  Then I tried jsut loading the HTML, which I ahve had great success in thepst, but I still got the folder, saaame with the SWF files.  If I can't use Livebinders, and I don't have access to a LMS where can I post my chapters?

Hi Jill

This is for Q1. Don't really understand what you mean by Q2.

there is a setting on the slide (access the little cog wheel in the bottom right of the slide layers dock) that lets you say what happens when revisiting the slide 'reset to initial state'.  I just tested it and it works fine for me in SL2 - not sure which version you are using.

Hi Jill,

I'm glad that Wendy was able to assist you with your first question, as by default there is not a "reset all drag items" option, but a lot of users implement the method to "jump back to that slide" with a setting of reset to initial state to allow the user to retry.

In regards to your second question - are you copying within Powerpoint or Storyline?  If you're importing a PowerPoint presentation into Articulate Storyline, the Windows clipboard will be temporarily unavailable. As a result, copying and pasting in other applications won't work while a presentation is being imported into Storyline. You can copy and paste text from Storyline into other programs, but you won’t be able to copy and paste images, shapes, characters, etc. from Storyline into other programs.

Lastly, I'm not familiar with Livebinders - but you'll want to ensure you're uploading all the files and folders that are generated in the Published output folder - and check that you're publishing for web or LMS depending on which settings Livebinders needs.

Hope that helps!
